Victoria Secret!!!

Isn't it funny how easy it is to convince yourself that you really need something that you found and liked? I mean as soon as you find something you want you start to find any accuse for having it. Like today, I went to Bellevue cause I needed (actually I did ;)) a new white bra cause my old one was broken. So I went to Victoria Secret. I mean, where else can you buy your underwear? ;) And this is now my new favourite store ;) When I got in I immediately got help and she took my measures (different sizes from Sweden) and then I went to the fitting rooms and I got like 10 of their most popular bras so I could find the models that I liked. Those I liked they marked in a personal card for me so I know which ones I have tried, and liked. So I bought two I liked, not one white but one white and one with a pink pattern ;) I also got a t-shirt with the buy cause I bought this perfect push-up bra ;) I really liked that store and I'm certain I'll come back. Too bad I'm just loves the stores that are expensive....hmm I hope Santa is generous this year ;)
Today was Filip's last soccer practice for the season and it's good cause it's getting so dark and cold now so it's not so fun being outside for a longer time.
Sofia was really crazy and giggelish at the park ;) Don't know what she has been eating today cause she laugh and had so much energy during the whole practice.
There are a lot of people who give me compliments on my clothes, mostly my jacket and my scarf. And Kadda is really jealous about this ;) She thinks I think I'm cool and that's why I always wanna have pictures on me. But I say: I am cool, that's why I wanna have pictures on me ;) Kadda: I got one more for my scarf, today at Victoria Secret ;) But I think your coat looks great ;)
Tonight it was TV time and I'd invited my friends to my place to watch Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice. And we could have the big TV downstairs cause Lotta and Jonas were off working out. Thank you!
Tomorrow we are going Trick or treating at Microsoft, I hope we'll get a lot of candy ;)

Miss you all!

Halloween decorations

Today (Wednesday) the kids got off from school at 2 so we had a long afternoon to have fun ;) First we went to the park cause the weather let us. We played soccer, swung on the swing and played hide and seek. We stayed there for like two hours and it was fun. Of course they had some arguments but they are siblings ;)
When we got home we finally carved my pumpkin! ;) It was so much fun and more easier than I though. I draw the pattern and the kids helped me carve it. It turned out scary ;) Then we played games and did the home works.
After dinner me and Sofia made a Happy Halloween banderole that we hang in the kitchen. I'll do some more decorations of the left overs of the papers, maybe a bat. I bought some window decorations for my room so that it gets more scary ;) I also bought a curl tong? Don't know the word ;) But a heater that makes curls from the hair. It was just like 12 dollars ;) And I also bought fake lashes for Halloween ;) I'm so excited about the weekend and I'm hoping I get my outfit the way I want ;)
When the kids had went to bed me and Lotta went and rent a movie for the night. FLASHDACE!! Oh it was so good! Both me and Lotta loves that kind of movies. Old, with a sweet story and good music. I had never seen that before but always wanted. We also bought a chocolate cake cause we wanted something good for us ;)
I also talked with my own La Familia, my three best friends back home. Oh, it was so nice to see them all together. They looked grate, as usual, and I really miss them ;) They were a bit concern about the Halloween Party cause they know what can happen to me when there's some alcohol ;) Hahaha..but I told them not to worry. I mostly know what I'm doing! Hahaha...;)

Miss you all!

Much sleep ;)

Today I felt really sick and tired when I woke up, so I decided not to go to the gym. After I walked the kids to school, I went back home and straight to bed. I slept for three more hours and woke up at 12:30...oh it was so good and I felt better after that. Guess that I needed to catch up some sleep and I was surprised that I could sleep cause next to us they are renovating a house, so that was noisy and also I'm bothered of the sunlight through the windows. But not today. I really past out and that was good ;) There wasn't that much time to do anything before I went to pick up Agnes but I had lunch ( some left overs in the fridge) watched an episode of FRIENDS and vacuum cleaned my room. and of course the laundry and the dishes. Wow, I did pretty much in that short while. Then I left earlier to get some medicine for my cold. Tylenol, a super medicine that kills everything ;) I also bought two small pumpkins to decorate my room with. So cute. I need to get some more thing to get my room ready for Halloween, and I also need to carve my pumpkin. It wasn't any soccer practice today so we went to the park cause today it was cold, but sunny! And we had really fun there. Sadly Filip fell and scratched his elbow on the concrete, when I chased him! Hmm...but it wasn't that bad and he didn't cry but we went home anyway. Then we made mashed potatoes, meatballs and boiled carrots. Mmmm....it was good, and we had some crispbread which I love!! Soon I'm going to Starbucks to catch up with my friends. Ramona is back from her vacation with the family so I'm excited to hear what she has been up to ;) Miss you all! Love Sandra

A sore throat

Not much! The day has been a bit boring and not so excited. I started of with a sore throat, NO I don't wanna get sick. But I guess sooner or later I will. It's so hard to get up in the morning now cause of the darkness. When the alarm rings it's like: "Who set my alarm two hour earlier?" ;) But that's how it is everywhere so, nothing new.
We took the car to school cause of the rain and after that I spend an hour at the treadmill. I'll see if I'll go there tomorrow, depends how I feel in my throat. Don't wanna be sicker.
I took time to remake some things at the dress I'm wearing at Halloween and I realized that I maybe need a white dress to have under, it's a bit see through ;)
Me and the kids went to the park cause it had stopped raining and I wanted to get out. We took tennis rackets with us and me and Filip played a few balls while Sofia went roller shoes (shoes with a wheel under) Sadly it started raining pretty soon again so we had to go home. Filip did his homework and me and Sofia coloured some Halloween paintings.
After dinner watched AFV and it's so funny ;) Sadly it's always funniest when someone is hurt ;)
Jonas is now picking up Lotta from work, she had to work overtime. And I'm watching Ghostwisperer.
That's it. Not a very excited day ;)

Miss you all!

ps. I don't have a picture from my day so I give you one of my driving licence ;) The hart means that I'm a donor. And it's vertical cause I'm under 21 ds.

Coffey and Sunday shopping

Why did I plan to meet Jacob at 10! Not that I didn't want to meet Jacob, but at 10? On a Sunday? Way too early. What was I thinking? ;) But I'm really glad that we met. Was way too long ago. We went to Bellevue and fist had a Coffey at Starbucks and then I showed him the mall. He had never been there, and I'm there every week ;) He was really amazed and we was there for like 1,5 h and I finally bought a pair of sweatpants to wear during the day when I'm home in the house. I bougt them in the store I can't pronounce: Abercrombie & Fitch ;) And my pants smells like their perfume ;) You can smell when you are close to the store cause they have so much and strong perfume in the store so I'm not surprise it gets stuck in the clothes. ;)
When I got home I immediately called Emilie to check what her plans for the day was and she and Kadda were planning on going to Marshall and the other stores in Redmond to find Kadda a pair of red shoes for her Halloween costume. I joined them and we met up at Kadda's place.
So first we went to Marshall. I love that store. They have all kind of brands and the prices are low. I bought a cute top there. Then we went to SEARS. It has been one thing I wanted to do since I came here. ;) I go to know the store from the TV show Extreme Makeover Home edition where they always go to SEARS to get all the furniture. It was cool and I liked it. And guess what? I bought a pair of shoes ;) Black high heels with a rounded toe. I love them ;) And Lotta got to use the phrase "Is there something wrong with your old ones?" Cause I said that when she bought her new computer ;) But no Lotta there is no wrong with my old ones but you can never have too much shoes. Right mum? ;)
We ate at a place called IHOP-International house of pancakes. It was special ;) Everyone wore a Seahawks football jersey and they served like breakfast all day ;) I had a pancake combo with egg, hash brown, sausage and pancakes. I took New York Cheesecake pancakes and they were really good. And I was so full when we walked out of there.
Emilie had to get home early to go to a pumpkin carving party with her family, so I went home with Kadda. She had talked with Anna who wanted to go to a Hunted House, which is like a ghost house, but not until 8. So me and Kadda search on a trip to Vancouver and we are planning to go in the end of November. Oh, I'm so excited! We will go by train and it takes like 2 h. But we didn't book anything cause we hadn't talked with everyone who want to come so we'll see.
Then we just sat in front of the TV until we realized we didn't want to go to the hunted house cause it looked scary in the pictures and we were tired ;) so we went to Wendy's instead and had dinner and then we went back to SEARS cause Kadda had decided to buy those red shoes she saw earlier.
Now I'm sitting in front of Desperate Housewives and getting upset about the interference on the cable. I'm missing things they are saying!! Arrgh! But I guess Kadda is recording it so I can watch it at her place later ;)
The kids were at the Nordic Museum today, with the Swedish school. I have to go there one day! ;)

Miss you all!

Yeah Sounders!

Today was the last game before the play-offs, and they had already qualified and Dallas (their opponents) had to win to qualify. It was a great game that just ended and Sounder won! 2-1. Jippie! Sadly, I only saw it on TV while Jonas and Lotta was at the arena. That means I have been baby sitting tonight. And the Stendahl's kids were also here which means that I had 5 kids tonight! ;) It was fun and really no problem...hmm ;) Well Ebba, the youngest of all, got sad when her dad left and she cried for like an half an hour and just sat in the hallway. But then she joined us when we watched TV and ate some candy ;) We watched two movies: Winnie the Pooh and Curious George ;) Then we all went to bed and I red a story for them. Then I had time to watch the second half of the game ;)
I really like to clean after kids been playing, cause then you really see the difference ;) They just pull out so many things and put them everywhere. So cute ;) They build a tower of pillows in the sofa where everyone sat on a different level ;) of course you have to sit on a mountain while watching TV ;)
Today we had breakfast at Hector's, a restaurant in Kirkland. It was nice and I had a omelette whit potatoes, mushrooms and onion. Good! Then the kids got hair cuts (they really needed it ;)) Now it just me, and maybe Jonas who needs one ;) But I'm not sure if I will do it. Maybe before Christmas? ;)
Then we just went home and I red my book while the family went in to Seattle to get Lotta's computer a baby ;) Yeah, she bought a new one that looks exact the same as her old one but only smaller. It really looks like a child to her bigger one. so cute ;)
I had a great day and I'm still walking on clouds since Thursday ;) and he played good tonight ;)

Miss you all!

Skate King!

At the climbing today I met a Swedish women who has been living here for three years. She's married to an American guy and they had a six months old baby together. The child's name was Svea which is short for Sweden on old Swedish ;) So funny, and soooo cute. The women heard us talk Swedish and she asked me where i was from and apparently we are from the same area i Sweden. Isn't that funny? I mean sometimes the world is really small ;) She was really nice and we talked about everything. Her husband was also really nice and he gave me some names of places to go and listen to music. They were really cool and were so cute together. Hope I'll see them again! One cool thing was that she said she heard of my accent that I came from Vastra Gotaland ;) I hate that accent and I'm trying not to have it, but if your born with it you have to live with it right? ;)
We had tacos in the evening and everyone helped in the kitchen. It was kind of crowded but it's nice when everyone participate. After dinner the family watched Peter Pan 2 but I went to Kadda and Emilie and we went to this place called Skate King. It's a roller skate rink, and it was so cool cause it looked like from an old movie or something. So we rented those old roller skates with four wheels pared up and then we skated! It was hard in the beginning, much more harder than ice skating I think. But it was fun. And they played like club music (mostly hip-hop of course) and some people were awesome! They danced while they were skating and it seemed so easy. I was not that gracious and I actually fell, twice. And it was so hurtful. Oh, I hit my knee and my elbow and today I have bruises and they really hurt :( After I fell, I got a bit cowardly and didn't go that fast.
Sofia was here on a birthday party and that was how I found out about it. It was so American and funny. I'm certain we will go back but then I will wear some protection ;)

Miss you all!

OH MY GOD!!!

This is one of the coolest days ever ;) I met Fredrik Ljungberg!! Beat that! ;) It was awesome, sadly I wasn't the only one :( I'll take it from the beginning.
I got this offer yesterday from Lotta and Jonas who had tickets to a meet and greet with Fredrik Ljungberg and they couldn't go so they had this tickets over....and they asked me!! ;) Of course I said yes. I tried to get someone to go with me but everyone worked so I went alone. But I knew that Anna (the girl I play soccer with) would be there so I called her and told her that I was going.
I left the kids at school and directly went to Seattle and Qwest Field where the practice and event was hold. There I met Anna and we went in to the stadium together and met ALL the other people that also was gonna be there. We were like maybe 60 people. Mostly Swedish but also some Americans.
We were led in to the arena and sat at the lower section of the grandstand so we were really close to the field where the team had their practice. The arena is so cool, so huge compare by Camp Valley ;) We had Coffey and it was really cosy ;) It was a good practice and the coolest thing is that the drills they did we also do in my team. That's the best with soccer, the drills don't change only the speed and precision of the drills. Everybody could be a pro, or not ;)
Among us there were some kids that screamed and cheered at Ljungberg and he's really shy. He was like waveing embarrassed back, as a little boy ;) So cute.
When the practice was almost over we went down on the field. I wanted to play so badly. Was so tempted to run out to the guys and show them how it's suppose to be done ;)
When the practice was over, Ljungberg came to us and we could take pictures, get autographs and ask questions. Sadly there were several people who wanted a piece of him (especially kids and their mums ;)) but I got some pictures and also an autograph on the back of my shirt!! =) It was so cool. I don't know why you get so excited as soon as it comes to a celebrity but I think it was nice. And he's so shy and modest, he was like: "Thank you for coming" ehh..thank you for taking time. Apparently he had never done anything like that here before now, and the coach usually doesn't allow anyone in the stadium on Thursdays. It's a close practice which make this even cooler ;)
It was also the second time I drove alone in Seattle and I did really good ;) Thank to the GPS, without that I would gone crazy with all the one way roads. ;)
Today I had 5 kids at home! Christopher, Elise and their big sister Sofia went home with us cause their mum is out of town and their dad is working longer. It was a bit noisy with 5 kids but they played nicely and I could make dinner in peace and quite. Then we went to soccer.
Now the family is and having Coffey and I'm watching friends.
The shirt is now on my wall, flashing with the autograph ;)

Miss you all!

Again to Dr Rama and an exciteing offer!

Today it was Filip's turn to go to Dr Rama and fix a tooth. I picked him up early from school and Sofia went home with a friend cause I wouldn't be back when school ended.
At the dentist it went good, as always. They are so nice and I really like it there ;) I wished I also could go there ;)
When we got home we went to his favourite park where we played soccer, all the time!! He must have been in heaven ;) He's like crazy about it, and he's getting better. Which I take the credit for hahah ;)
Back home he made his homework while I was sewing. Yeah, you red right ;) I repaired my jacket (my new jacket!) cause there was two big holes in the pockets, and I started get irritated of not be able to have anything in them. So I bough a travel sewing kit and now they are fixed! I felt like a really good house mother while we sat at the table, he studying and me sewing ;)
And today I got a really awesome thing from Lotta and Jonas. Tomorrow, I'm gonna be at a meet and greet with the soccer team Seattle Sounders. This mean that I'll be watching a practice and after meet: FREDRIK LJUNGBERG!!! Can you believe it? I know I can't. I'm getting nervous. What will I say? How will I look? How will he look? Lotta thinks I'll throw myself around his legs and never let go ;) I hope I don't react that way. Anyway I'm really excited and right now I'm trying to find someone who wants to join me, cause I have two tickets. But I know some people who are going there so I think I'll manage ;)
After dinner I went out on a hunt for a team shirt. First I went to Bellevue but there they only had like practice t-shirts, whit out names. So I had to go to Pike Place in town cause I knew they had a PRO shop of all the teams here. It was my first trip alone to downtown Seattle so I had to go around in circle a couple of times to get in to the parking house of the mall ;) But I guess that's me, right ;) I went to the store and found the one I looked for. A game shirt with LJUNGBERG (of course) on the back. It was expensive but I thought that if I'm gonna have one with his autograph on, it's gonna be real. I have to get up early tomorrow so I can look good ;)

Miss you all!

A Halloween costume and a drivers licence!

Oh, I skipped yesterdays contribution ;) I give it to you today instead!
Yesterday was Monday and a new week started. I tried to be good and wake up earlier so I could be in a better mood with the kids, but I was too tired ;) I'll try this week though. Cause last week was a really lazy week I went to the gym with a good attitude so I could have a great work out. And I did! I feel really proud that I could push myself so I got really tired. And I feel it in my body today ;)
During the day, I didn't do so much. I prepared Filip's and Sofia's catalog they have been selling from so that we could send it in this week. I bought 5 things! A calender, 2 types of gift wraps, some candy and note sheds. I'm so excited to get it cause they were so nice.
I also cleaned the car, inside!! It really needed it and now it's so grateful ;) Now it also would need a shower ;) I'll see if I do it another day.
I've also been trying to make a play date with Kaden, Sofia's future husband ;) And today his mum called me and we decided them to play today! She brought Kaden to our house after school and the kids were so happy! They both love him and they played so nice together. I'll certainly bring him here more times. ;)
Now I really needed a Halloween costume. So me and Kadda went to the store in Redmond again, and we said that if we didn't find any, we should pick one for each other. But we found one each. She picked little red riding hood, but in a sexy way ;) I found a Greek goddess dress. Not the one I really wanted, cause that wasn't in the right size, but this one is pretty as well. Oh, I'm so excited for Halloween and now I can breath when I have my costume ;)
Today, Tuesday, I had my drivers test! And I passed! Yippie!! It wasn't hard, if you compare to Sweden. First I had to show turning and speed gesture with my hands, she checked the lights on the car and tested my braking reaction. I had to parallel park between cones in the parking field. I had to do it twice cause I backed in to some bushes ;) But the second time I did good.
On the road I had to change line in a safe way, park in a hill, back around a corner and go through traffic lights. If you didn't have any wrong you got 100 points. I got 96 points cause when I parked in a hill I didn't turn the wheel from the roads direction. You had to have 80 to pass so I'm satisfied with my score. The test only took 20 minutes but I had to wait like 1,5 h to get all the papers and take a picture. It's always so many people at the department, but I had time and I played Tetris so I manage ;)
I picked up the kids and we went to soccer practice. Today they were a bit demanding, and we had some discussion but I think that's a part of it all.
I went to Bellevue and were suppose to go to Starbucks but me, Kadda and Emilie first went to Linqoln Square Cinema and bought Premiere tickets to New Moon!!! Woha! ;) We are going on the midnight premiere, it's gonna be awesome. We asked when we should be there to get good seats cause here you don't have a special seat. And he said that some people come already at 2pm!!! We are all working cause it's a Thursday) so we can't come so early. We thought about if we could bye tickets to the movie just before our in the same saloon so that we could stay seated? We are gonna find a way! :) We also ate at the Red Robin and it was so good ;)
Miss you all!

No Halloween costume, yet ;)

I love Sundays! Cause I can sleep long! =) The kids go to the Swedish school so I can fall back to sleep after they gone. And so I did. But just until 10. Then I called my friend Sara and we chattered for a while. It's always good to hear a friends voice and she seemed to be fine.
I went with Lotta to Bellevue Square Mall cause she needed to return a sweater and to buy some skinny jeans. Apparently that's the new big thing now ;) and as I said it's a never dying look. They looked good on her, and off course it was a pair of 7-jeans. I'll probably bye one pair of my own, when I can afford them ;)
Me, Emilie and Kadda was going in to Seattle to find some Halloween costumes for me and Kadda (Emilie has already got one) but as usual it never goes as planned. And instead of looking for a shop (cause we didn't really know where to go) we went to "Bodies - The Exhibition" which is as it sounds, a exhibition of the human body. And it's all real!! Real human bodies where you can see the skeleton, the muscles, organs, veins everything. It was both grose and so interesting at the same time. There were fetus in different developments and the lung of a person that had been smoking (next to it was a trashcan for cigarettes ;)) I thought it was really cool but the exhibition has got a lot of different criticism. Some say it's too much. And when it was here the last time, for like 5 years or something, they had to close it cause people couldn't handle it. But there's suppose to be an pregnant women and a full sized horse with a rider so this was a small piece of the whole I think. But it was really interesting and you got a better picture of how the body is working and structured. But one sadly thing was that we weren't allowed to take pictures. That kind of sucked!
After this we were supposed to go to Redmond and the Halloween store there but we didn't have time cause we stopped at different shops on our way to the car and we also had a crepe which was expensive, but really good! I had ice-cream, nutella and strawberries on mine. Jummie ;) It's a good thing I'm going to the gym, otherwise non of my clothes would have fit now ;)
I also played my second soccer game today! I played as a defender and then a midfielder. And I scored!! We won with like 6-0 and it was a really fun game to play. We had really good passes. But one thing I didn't like was that the game started do late. At 7:45 so I wasn't home until 9:45 which means I missed Desperate Housewives! :( But I'll see it tomorrow on the computer, but still!

Miss you all!

Thriller and soccer for a good purpose

It's crazy how much and hard it can rain. I don't think I've never seen so much rain ;) No, it's not that bad, but it was scary to drive to day. Barely couldn't see. But yet I did ;) Me, Kadda and Emilie were at a work shop and learned the moves for Michael Jackson's Thriller dance. It was so much fun but it was hard. So much to remember and the music was really fast. This work shop had been going on for five Saturday back and this was the last time so there were some people who were really good. But there were also more people who were there for the first time. So we weren't the only ones having trouble with the steps ;) Next Saturday there gonna be a party where everyone are gonna show the dance. Hundreds of people are gonna dress out as zombies and then everyone will show the dance outside. It sound really cool but I have to work and there is also another AuPair meeting at the same time. It was fun and I will keep it fresh so I can show you when I get home ;)
The Cobras (Filip's soccer team) won today. Like 7-1 or something and Filip scored twice. It's really fun watching them and I can't help feeling a bit pride. ;) Cause I'm the one who raise them in the noble knowledge of soccer =) Hahah...at least I try ;)
This afternoon we went to Arena Sport, an indoor soccer arena with several small fields. Today there was an charity event for a girl who had cancer. We helped raise money for her buy playing soccer. You just joined a team there and then you played for an hour. And this is gonna keep going for 24 hours!! It was so cool, so many people and there were a air castle for the kids to jump in and also things to eat and stuff to buy. And everything was for this girl. Unbelievable how people help each other. Nice!
Lotta and Jonas are out for dinner tonight so me and the kids had some Saturday candy, watched Spongebob Squarepants and finally red a story and now they are sleeping sweet in their beds and I'm watching Notting Hill ;)
Miss you all!

The dentist!

Today (Thursday) Sofia had an appointment with Dr Rama, her dentist. When I was with the kids there the last time (when it was my first time driving and I got lost and all that! ;)) they found some holes that now are supposed to be fixed. And today, it was Sofia's turn. I picked her up at school, earlier than usual! And this time I found the way without any problem. Sure I had the GPS but I had it last time too ;)
They are really nice at the clinic and they have a really good hand with children. Sofia wasn't scared at all and she did really well. She got some oxygen that made her relax and she got a bit giggled. ;) She was so cute when she laid in the chair, looking like a diver with the mask over her nose ;) And it's so cool cause they can watch a movie while the doctor is working in their mouth. So much more convenient.
They fixed three tooth this time, and they put on like a silver crown over the tooth (when it's a too big hole that can't be fixed) I've never seen that before.
And cause she did so good, she got three gold coins so she could pick something from a machine. I'm really proud, did so well all the time.
When we were done, I was supposed to pay (which I didn't know ;)) and she said:"One, seven, five something" and I started pick out a one dollar bill. But then I realised it was 175 dollars! Hahah, I couldn't pay so I have to bring the money when I'll go with Filip next week.
We came back just in time to pick up Filip from school and today the soccer practise was cancelled cause to many cancellations. So we had to activate in the house. And we made some inventions. Or Filip did and I sat next to him holding things ;) I wasn't so much help cause I'm really bad when it comes to inventions. But he was great and we finally made a watch that he could practice with, and it contained magnets. Cool!!
Cause it's Thursday, I went to Emilie's house to watch Grey's Anatomy =) It's really good and this week's episode was really good!! Anna had made cupcakes to share with us and they were jummie ;) I like anything with chocolate chips in it ;)
I put in my diary for the Friday as well!
Today it has been raining all day. Non stop! So boring. You can't be outside without transforming in to a soaking cat! But I did several things anyway. I've been really lazy this week with the gym, but today I went to my Yoga class, and it's really hard. You don't think it's so special but today it was really tough. I feel I have to go there several more time to get it right with the breathing and the different positions. It's also hard when you're not in a closed room. We can hear the air condition, other people and music. Then it's hard to really relax and focus on your inside.
I earned some grown up points by going with the Acura, first to a mechanic that fixed the flushing fluid for the windshield and then to an emission test to see that the car was OK and legal to drive. There I made a fool of my self ;) Didn't understand what I should do but the guy was very helpful ;) and it was over in like three minutes so it was OK.
Climbing went well today as well. Me and Linda had a Coffey and we talked. She asked me if I wanted to go on a blind date with a 30 years old man that recently moved here from Detroit and who's trying to get some friends. But I'm not sure if me and my friends are the right for him ;) Maybe a bit to young ;) But you never know ;) hahah
Tonight I was supposed to go shopping with my friends but after dinner (we had Tacos ;)) I didn't feel like it. I would rather be home, spending time with the family and be a part of their Friday cosy that contains of a movie and popcorn!! The movie for the evening was
Narnia - Prins Caspian. I've seen it before and I think it's really good. I like fantasy and the landscapes and nature in the movie are fantastic.
It has been a really nice day, I'm tired and excited about tomorrow. I'm gonna learn the choreograph of Michael Jackson's Thriller and then I'm going to a charity event that involves soccer ;)

Miss you all!

Tuesday and Wednesday

Were too tired last night to blog so I put it with the story today. It were two days with not many happenings so I think they'll fit in one contribution ;)
Yesterday I were at the post office to fix some packages for the family, but it was complicated and the women who tried to help me wasn't very nice. Don't they know that maybe not everyone is a pro in mailing? But I think I got what I needed.
I also talked with Ida, one of my best friends in Sweden. We talked over the computer but there was something wrong so I could see and hear her, and also myself. But she couldn't see or hear me. So she talked and I wrote. It was kind of funny ;) It was like she was blind and I was dumb =) But finally we could both see each other and it was nice see her again. Even though she didn't wore any make up ;) No, she was as pretty as ever!
The kids had play dates, also with another pair of siblings that go in my kids school. I took the boys back to our place and Sofia went home with them. Then it was soccer practice and it was fun.
Jonas and Lotta went to a cooking class yesterday as well. So now they are experts on Indian food =) That meant that I had the kids in the evening as well. And they did really well. We played go fish and then we red in bed. Really cosy!
I also had time to go to Starbucks to meet my friends, although a little later than usually. It was really nice to meet everybody and I like those meetings cause you never know what you end up talking about ;) We started on English class and ended up with churches and traditions ;)
Now the rain has come and yesterday and today the sky just opened up. And unlucky enough, the windscreen wipers on the Saab didn't work!! It was so hard going home yesterday in the dark. So today I took the car to a mechanic cause they had forgot to plug them back in when they fixed the air conditioner. So now they works! And I'm so proud cause I found my way there without an GPS!! Every small step is a big step for me =)
I also stopped at the square mall on my way back and I found my new favourite store: Aritzia. They had so many cool stuff. And they had the brand Acne and Fjallraven! (Everyone in Sweden knows that one =)) I think I was there for an hour. I was so delighted. And the two girls who worked there were so nice. After a while in the store one of them said: "You go over to the fitting rooms, we have put together some cute outfits you have to try on!" They were so awesome and I tried everything and had a great time. And the store was so nice. I bought a hood sweater and finally, a pair of gloves ;) But I wanted to buy so much more! I almost started crying when I left cause I wanted to get everything. But sadly enough, everything was kind of expensive =( So now to everyone out there who doesn't know were to spend your extra money, can make a poor girl happy by donate them to her needed-clothes-fund. I really want to have more from that store!! HELP!!
Mum and dad: Please win a million (or more) so I can get unlimited shopping in that store. Please ;)
Now I feel a tiny bit selfish and materialist, but why can't I?! ;)
Me and the kids are now watching Ed, Edd and Eddie in my room, eating chocolate balls that we made earlier today. Jummie!!
Miss you all!
Love Sandra!

Fall

The fall is really coming with giant steps. Today it was really cold outside the whole day and Filip was glad I made him put on a pair of trousers with long legs ;) He has been waring shorts until today. He's crazy! I've been waring a hat since a week! ;)
The trees are also in a transformation and the magic of nature creates a beautiful colour palette to tell us it's time for fall!
I didn't go to the gym today, had too much aches in my legs from the game yesterday ;) I went back to bed instead and it was so good. I can't make it a habit cause then I may never go to the gym! And no one want that to happen!
I did some errand and then had a Noah Bagel lunch (the best bagels this far!!) Today Lotta worked from home cause she had been with Filip at the dentist so she joined me for lunch.
Filip has got a new Lego model and he's really busy finishing it. So me and Sofia played with her stuffed animals cause today she deserved Listening Bear at school who is a bear you can take home for one day if you have been a really good listener at school. She was really happy cause this was the second time she could bring home the bear and they helped me with dinner. Two really good assistants in the kitchen ;)
Tomorrow the kids have a geography test and we have practice the continents and oceans all week. Hope they do good, but I think so!

I have to buy some gloves!
Miss you all!

Pupkins and my first soccergame!

Sunday, Sunday, Sunday! The best day of the week! Or? Today was really nice. I had a long morning in bed and then I continued the day on the couch with some episodes of F.R.I.E.N.D.S, now Russ has got a son ;)
Then at lunch time Jonas called me and asked if I wanted to go with the family to a Pumpkin Patch. Like a farm where you can pick your own pumpkin. Of course I wanted to come. They picked me up and we drove for like 10 minutes from the city and the landscape transformed from a crowded city to a open and sparsely populated area. It was so cool. They had pumpkins in all shapes and they had corn fields with labyrinths ;) We didn't go there but it would have been cool. I would have been so scared if I would have gone there cause it just reminded me of horror movies ;)
We walked among the herd of pumpkins on our hunt after the perfect Halloween pumpkin;) It was a perfect weather with a bright shining sun and you could tell it was a perfect day for a pumpkin hunt, cause it was crowded of people. Everyone wanted the perfect one to guard their door when the fall is coming with the dark ;) Oh, I feel so poetic ;)
Today I was also gonna follow Anna, a Swedish girl who plays soccer, and watch a game. But instead I got to play! They didn't have enough players so I become a part of the team =) It was so much fun but it really felt it was a while ago I played. I played stopper, in the defence. It was hard when I didn't know the names, how the team played and all the soccer terms in English. But I did my best and I think I did good. But I still had the same problem as back in Sweden. Always dribbled the ball one time too much and lost it instead of passing. And I always think too much when I'm on the field. And that gives me like a block in my head. I have to get rid of that!!
But it was really nice to get a game in my legs and I'll continue playing with this team, if there is a spot for me ;)
Bye the way, we lost wit 5-4 and I didn't score!

Miss you all!

Soccer, birthday party and clubbing!

This morning (Saturday) I went to Grass Lawn Park to watch my friend Bianca practice with a women soccer team. It was really cold and I had no gloves ;) Must bye some! They were about 20 women, but unfortunately Bianca wasn't there. I found out after that she had felt sick this morning and didn't want to play. But it was OK, and the team was OK. They were like split in two groups. One who had little soccer experience ( I think ;)) and the other with more experience. They were really OK and I'll see if I can sign up for them or how I feel. Tomorrow I'll go and watch another team playing a game, with a Swedish women that Lotta knows. I've been in contact with her and I'm really excited to see what that's kind of team.
Filip also had a game today. I went there after the practice was over. He did really good. Scored twice but unfortunately the other team won. Filip says it was a draw, but the other team scored more times ;)
Today was also Sofia's birthday party. It was really cool. A princess came home to our house with a bunch of costumes and accessories. All the kids dressed out as princesses and fairies. They also got either star power or flower power painted on their hand. Then they made their own magic wands and solved an adventure with a ice princess. I think it was really excited for the kids and also they got a nice, chocolate cake, of course ;) But Axel (Jenny and Henrik's child) blew out the candles before Sofia had a chance ;)
I also had plans with my friends tonight. I picked up Kadda and Emelie and then we went to the Halloween store in Redmond to look for costumes. They had so many nice ones, but the didn't have a dressing room so it was a bit hard to know if they fit or not. Then we went to Bellevue and picked up Anna. We drove to the Halloween store in Bellevue and looked there. They had dressing rooms and I tried some on. A Tinkerbell dress actually but I didn't like the model. I tried a Spartan goddess dress with a open back. It was really nice but it was a elastic band in the back that I didn't like. Maybe I can sew it differently.
We went in to downtown Seattle and shopping. I bought some sweaters at Old Navy. Just basic things. We also wanted to eat at the Red Robin but it was too far so it was the old, and trusted McDonald's that had to serve us our dinner this night.
when we walked back to our car, we passed a club that had great music and we were like: "Hmm, wonder what that is?" We walked up to the door to read at the poster and it was a new club, that opened this weekend. The Diamond! And it was all ages and had two dance floor. One with Hip Hop and one with techno and house. We were like: "Hmm, maybe we'll go in and have a look?" "But we aren't dress right for clubbing" But we heard the music and was so tempting so we ran to our car and left our bags and tried to freshening up a bit, as good as you can with a car mirror ;)
The club was so cool! The dance floor was perfect and music was so much better than the last weekend. But there weren't so many people. In fact, we were the only ones dancing ;) But I had a really great time and my girls really know how to shake it on the dance floor ;)
This was a great night and I can't wait until next weekend ;)

Happy Birthday to my mother and my cousine Andreas!! Wish you both a wonderful day!!

Miss you all!

Not much more to do than the movies!

Friday, again?! Oh, the weeks are going really fast, but I like it ;)
I did Yoga today at the gym, but it wasn't easier this time as I thought. It so hard when you are a soccer player and have to short muscles, like in the back of your legs. It hurt as soon as I lean forward ;) But I guess that's why Yoga is good for me. And it's still nice to start up the morning with finding your purpose in life. At least that's what you're suppose to do during the class ;) But I don't know, it's hard finding your meaning with life when you try not to fall during a complicated "down facing dog" movement ;)
This time I didn't climb at Vertical World, but they have a really cute teacher there so maybe I'll sign up for some private lessons? ;) Hahah...I don't think so, but it's nice to just look at him...eh I mean look at the kids when they're climbing ;)
Tonight was a family dance night at the kids' school with a Western theme. It was all very American with hot dogs, costumes and line dancing. I really enjoyed it, and it was fun to watch all the kids shaking loose to the Dance Dude ( the DJ ;)) I tried to learn a dance but it's too much coordination for me ;) But it was really fun and so many people took the theme so serious, with whole outfits. And some of the kids were so cute with their cowboy hats and boots. =) We made Filip and Sofia a Sheriff star each and Filip had his lasso ;)
After the party I went to Bellevue to catch a movie with Kadda and Emelie. There is not really so much else to do here when you are not 21. This is our third movie this far, and this time it was "Couples Retreat" that was shown. It was fun, but I thought it would be funnier. There were so many people at the cinema that we couldn't sit together and Kadda had to sit on the stairs. or she choose to sit on the stairs ;) We didn't get seats together cause we were a bit late. We were at the Red Robin before, where they serve burgers. I took their famous cheeseburger and it was HUGE!!! And also really good, and it was a nice place.
It was a good evening with my friends and I can't wait until I'll meet Ramona's boyfriend who is here for a visit ;)
Miss you all!

New friend, new house and lost again!

Today, Thursday, I was invited to Emelie to watch Grey's Anatomy with her, Kadda and Ramona. She lives in Redmond, bud apparently in a very new neighbourhood so the maps on the GPS has not been updated. I had the address and went there, with my GPS. But then I couldn't find Ramona and Kadda, so I drove round and round and got more and more irritated. I looked for a street that wasn't there!! But finally, after 1 and 1/2 hour after I left my house, I parked the car outside Emelie's house. But at that point I wasn't on my best mood, so I'm sorry guys if I wasn't so glad ;)
It was a really nice and big house. But you could see that they hadn't lived there so long, cause there were spots where it was empty and somewhere there were a bow left. But they had this huge TV next to their huge aquarium with really cute fishes, and a shrimp?! ;)
We didn't have time to order pizza so I had cookies and ice-cream for dinner. It was good but not very nutrition ;)
Today was a really relaxing day cause I was off from 9 am to 5 pm ;) The kids had a play date with two of their classmates. I didn't do a thing. Just watched like 10 episodes of F.R.I.E.N.D.S ;)
So I went to soccer practice where the kids were dropped off and then we went home and they had dinner and then my adventure on the road to find Emelie's house begun ;)
I got to drive the Accura this time, and I haven't got use to that car yet. It so big and I think it's hard to see everywhere. I like the little Saab more, and now the fan has been fixed so no the air condition works again ;)

Miss you all!

Supersellers and Salmon

A really nice thing is to go back to bed and sleep for two more hours rather than go to the gym. I did that today! After I took the kids to school I went back home and slept til 11 =)
It's "Walk to school week" now and if you sign up every morning you get small prices and can also win a bigger price for your class. Today the firefighters, the police and the ambulance were at the school to cheer for every safe walkers.
I talked to mum and dad today as well. They seemed to be fine and everything is as usually back home. Actually I called cause I needed help with the dinner ;) I cooked Salmon and didn't know the recipe. But of course I called to talk to them as well, but mostly cause of the salmon ;)
and it turned out really good, thanks mum and dad!
Filip and Sofia are selling things to raise money for their school. It's mostly wrapping paper and candy, but really nice things. So we were out, knocking doors, trying to sell to the neighbours. Right now, we have sold three things ;) And he wants to sell 30 ;) I don't think that will happen but we'll try.
No waits a night in front of the TV and the computer in my lap ;)

Miss you all!

Starbucks!

Happy Birthday my sweet Noah! Oh, can't believe my little cousin is already 5 years old. he's so cute! I called and talked to him but I don't know if he really knew who I was. He was a bit quite, I did all the talking ;) The conversation: "Hey Noah, is it your birthday today?" "Yes" "Did you get any fun presents?" "Yes" "What did you get?" "I don't remember" Hahaha
It was nice talking to them and I promised to call before Christmas ;)
Today (Tuesday) was also a Starbucks night and I met a lot of new people, and old friends ;) Sounds fun when I say old friends when I've only been here for a month ;) And this time I felt like a experienced Au Pair cause Kadda brought Emelie who has only been here for a week. She's from France and she was really nice. She also lives in Kirkland and takes care of two 15 months old babies. Twins, a girl and a boy. So cute. I saw a picture. And she invited us to her place on Thursday to watch Grey's Anatomy together. It will be fun and the babies are gonna be home as well ;)
I also met a Swedish girl, that had a British father, so unfair! She got the language for free! And I had to sit through all English classes in school! ;)
Today I tasted the most disgusting thing ever. You know the candy Menthos, but with cinnamon flavour. Urk...it was so awful. I didn't realize what cinnamon was, just thinking 'Hey, a new flavour!" Never again.
I'm thinking of talking German!?
Miss you all!

ps. This is me and Bianca, and on the other picture is Emelie ds

Who needs a PT??!!

This Monday was nothing special except from my first body work out on my own. Ha, who needs a PT? I manage to give myself aches in the whole body so I think I'll survive without Sonia ;) But I have to admit that it was good to have those three sessions with her, cause now I know the gym more and have some exercises to start with. And she was also nice so that I'll probably will miss.
After the gym I spoiled myself by trying the pumpkin spiced latte at Starbucks and a pumpkin cupcake ;) It was really good, I wasn't sure about the flavour cause I haven't been eaten so much pumpkin, who has? ;) But it was good and I hope I'll have the chance of trying a pumpkin pie, maybe I'll make one on my own ;)
It has been a really relaxing day. Nothing special things today, just being on the computer and red my book. And made my bed ;)
When I picked up the kids Filip told me that he had earned a polite pumpkin today. He had been nice the whole day and will now have the chance of winning a pumpkin. I thought it sounded so cute, "A polite pumpkin" I think I'll start giving people a polite pumpkin ;)
Filip brought his roller skates and skate some in the park. Unfortunately he fell down, but he wasn't hurt. But he didn't want to skate more after that.
It was a nice day today as well and I sat in the sun and red my book ;)
Talked with my love Ida today. She's one of my best friends in Sweden and it was really nice to talk to her. Have just send emails so it was really cool to hear her voice again, and also her boyfriend's (even if he were a bit sulky ;))
Miss you all!

The day of the Cinnamon bun!

It's something special with Sundays. You can really relax at a Sunday, at least I can ;) Today I actually slept to 10:30. Sure the kids were noisy, but I was too tired to bother ;)
I came with the family to the Swedish school to eat a Swedish pancake breakfast. Which is kind of weird cause we don't eat pancakes for breakfast. It's the Americans who do =) But it really was the Swedish pancakes and they were really good ;) It was nice there cause they played Swedish folk music and some wear the Swedish national costume and they sold all kind of Swedish food and sweets. I liked it!
With us were Jonas and Lottas American friends. They had a boy and they were very nice. After the breakfast we all went to the gasline park and enjoyed the nice weather. It was kind of windy so there were several people with kites flying in the air. It was really fun to watch and the view over Seattle was amazing.
It was a nice day and when we got home I was really tired so I actually red a bit in the Da Vinci Code, and it's getting really exciting!
Today it's the day of the cinnamon bun, a Swedish bun for Coffey. It's really good. So Lotta and Sofia made some and then we had a bun party! hahah...I ate 4, with a cup of tee of course! That's one of the things I learned here, to drink tea.
It's also Olle's, Lotta's brother, birthday so Happy Birthday Olle!

Miss you all!

Clubbing!

Saturday!! Means party for many of us ;) And today we went to a club for the first time here in Seattle. Because we don't have the right age, that's 21, we have to go to an underage club. And me, Kadda and Anna went to a place called Fusion.
In the morning I went with Lotta and Sofia to downtown Seattle to do some shopping and have lunch. I just looked at everything and I saw a Sounders t-shirt I will buy. With the number 10 on it. LJUNGBERG! I have to buy it before the 24th of October cause then Lotta and Jonas are gonna meet him!! It's crazy but they've bought this special ticets so they will attend a practice and then watch a game and they will meet Fredrik Ljungberg and will get autographs from him. So I need them to make him sign my shirt. ;)
We had lunch at Nordstroms, a big store that's grounded by a Swedish family. It was really good and it felt kind of Swedish as well.
The family was invited to the Stendahl's house for dinner and I was invited too and first I said yes but then I changed my mind when the girls said they were going out. Oh guess if I've longed for dancing!! So I got dressed and went to pick up Kadda. Ramona was on a concert so she didn't join us this time. We had to take the way over Marshalls, a great shop where you can buy all famous brands cheaper. Kadda returned a top that she had bought there earlier cause she red that it was made of rabbit hair?! Weird! And it was a really nice store. They had so many shoes and bags that I almost got sick ;) I have to go back there and spend a whole day there ;)
I had never been at Anna's place, and neither had Kadda so we weren't sure were to drive. And off course I couldn't find the GPS when I left home so we got the directions of Anna on the phone and then we manage to find the way, all by ourselves! We were so proud!
Anna's room is so nice. She has like the whole basement for her self with a tv/cinema room with a projector in the roof. It's so cool and there is a lot of different books. Me and Kadda said that we don't need to go to the library anymore ;)
When we went to Seattle we had to wait on the bridge for like 40 minutes cause they were letting boats pass. It was kind of fun, we had our own little part in the car with good music and we were really in a good mood!
We looked some club up at the Internet and of course all the good one had 21+ as the age limit. So we went to this place Fusion. We had heard different things about it but mostly were bad critics. But we didn't have that much alternatives. Unfortunately they only played like heavy hip hop and it was really expensive, 20 bucks! But it was a nice place so with better music, I think it's OK. But it was definitely not what I'm use to. First of all, it was so weird sitting with your friends drinking water or cola. I've been out drinking for two years now ( not in an alcoholic way ;)) so I felt like 17 again. Not so fun. And then it was the dancing part. Apparently you couldn't just dance with your girlfriends or on your own. As soon as we entered the dance floor, we had a guy at out back thinking it's OK to grab you everywhere. And that's a mild version of their dance. We saw some more vulgar style of dancing, so maybe we shall be happy ;) No, we were really shocked, but I had a great time looking at all people.
I met some other au pairs at the club. There was a Finnish girl, two Swedish girls and of course some German people. They were all nice and it's always fun to meet new people.
It was a really nice day and we all got home safe ;)

Miss you all!
